It's been a while since there was any news about HP OMEN. This time around, HP Malaysia just released a new OMEN 16 version with the latest Intel or AMD Ryzen 9 processors. The AMD model is available for purchase now for a starting price of RM7599, whereas the Intel version starts from RM7799.
So what's new? Well, HP Malaysia said the thermals in the OMEN 16 have been revamped with an additional fifth heat pipe to keep the gaming laptop cooler. The company claimed that the new upgrade contributed a -3% GPU hinge and -14% bottom SSD temperature while also running 5% quieter compared to the last gen.
On paper, this should complement the OMEN 16's NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU and the latest MAX Q technologies or AMD Ryzen RX 6650M, also not forgetting, Intel Core i7-12700H series processor or AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX Mobile Processors. The memory configuration is with up to 32GB DDR5 4800 MHz and with up to 2TB PCIe Gen4x4 SSD.
Moreover, the 16-inch IPS panel supports up to QHD 165Hz with 3ms response time and 100% sRGB. It's also equipped with low blue light and an Eyesafe display certified by TÜV Rheinland. As usual, you can configure the keyboard's RGB lighting with OMEN Gaming Hub Light Studio. Speaking of the gaming hub, gamers can monitor the OMEN Dynamic Power within OMEN Gaming Hub to real-time CPU and GPU capacity and dynamically allocate power between the two.
The OMEN 16 can now be purchased by Malaysians on the official HP Online Store and through Shopee and Lazada. Plus, HP Malaysia has sent out an HP Gaming Truck around Klang Valley, Johor and Penang. Under the theme #PlaytoProgress, the truck is equipped with the latest HP OMEN and Victus laptops and accessories.
