The smartphone market is very saturated these days and it has let to some brands playing second fiddle to the bigger ones. But HTC hasn't quite thrown in the towel and has decided to unveil a new mid-range smartphone. The HTC Desire 20+ is expected to be available later this week on 22 October 2020.

Taiwanese brand HTC quietly released the Desire 20+ on their website recently. As mentioned, this is a mid-range device that sports the Snapdragon 720G chipset, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. In addition to that, it has a 6.5-inch 1600 x 720 resolution display and a large 5000mAh battery to keep it going for many hours.

For cameras, the Desire 20+ has a quad-camera setup at the back consisting of a 48MP main camera, 5MP ultra-wide camera, 5MP depth sensor, and 2MP macro camera. On the front is a 16MP selfie camera, which is good enough for a mid-range device. Other things to note is that the phone has a fingerprint sensor at the back, supports microSD cards, and runs on Android 10.

The Desire 20+ is currently available in Taiwan for TWD 8490 (~RM1225), with availability in other countries yet to be confirmed.
