After quite a few teasers, the HTC Desire EYE has been officially announced. Confirming many of the previous leaks, the most notable feature is it's 13MP front camera with dual LED flash. Another set of 13MP camera and dual LED flash is placed on the rear while the overall design looks flat and thin with a colourful plastic wraparound frame. Other tech specs include a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, a 5.2-inch LCD display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution, up to 128GB microSD support, 4G LTE, a 2400 mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat. The smartphone is quite large despite it's flat and thin looks, measuring in at 151.7 x 73.8 x 8.5mm and weighs 154g. It features dual front BoomSound speakers hidden between the bezels and comes with three noise-cancelling microhones. It is also certified for IPX7 water resistance, so you can bring it underwater for 1 meter and 30 minutes. No details yet on Malaysia release dates but it is rumoured to cost €529 (RM2189).
