The HTC Flyer, a 7-inch tablet due for release in the US before the end of this month, was HTC‘s first foray into the tablet market. Now, details have emerged about HTC’s second tablet, the HTC Jetstream.

HTC Jetstream: Screen & Processor

The Jetstream will be a 10-inch, 1280 x 800 pixel tablet, shaped much like the Motorola Xoom, and featuring a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor under the hood.

HTC Jetstream: UI

The Jetstream will also be the first HTC tablet to run Android 3.0 “Honeycomb,” as opposed to the stretched-out and version of Android 2.3 “Gingerbread” that the Flyer supports. HTC’s Sense UI is back again on the screenshots posted by 911HTC, complete with the trademark clock widget and smaller social widgets off to each side.

Even though the
Jetstream will reportedly run Honeycomb when it’s launched, the screenshots that 911HTC claims are from the device show a build of Android that’s similar to the HTC Flyer, which look much more like Gingerbread.

HTC Jetstream: Network

The Jetstream will also support AT&T’s 4G LTE network, which is growing, although it’s currently the smallest 4G network in the country. That also tells us that the Jetstream will likely be an AT&T exclusive, at least until a Wi-Fi only version hits store shelves. There’s reportedly also support for HTC’s “Magic Pen” stylus, a carryover from the HTC Flyer that we were sad to hear HTC decided to sell separately from its tablets.

HTC Jetstream: Magic Pen

The Magic Pen works less like the stylus you might remember from old Palm and Windows Mobile devices and more like an artist’s pressure pen used on a drawing tablet. The Magic Pen is battery powered, and allows HTC tablet users to draw on the screen like paper. This means that, for example, in the Notes app, you can actually write notes on the screen and save them in your own handwriting.
