After our earlier report on a possible HTC One Google Edition, it seems that this rumour has been confirmed. HTC are going to release a HTC One running stock Android for a Nexus experience, much in the same way as when Google announced the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition at Google I/O. According to HTC, the HTC One Nexus Edition will be priced at $599 (RM184) and be sold at the Google Play Store from 26 June 2013.
Tech specs for the HTC One Nexus Edition are the same as before but it is the 32GB version and comes with the SIM and Bootloader unlocked. Unfortunately it doesn't support Malaysia's LTE band so while it does have LTE support, you won't be able to connect to Malaysia's LTE providers. Since it will be using stock Android 4.2.2, bear in mind that all of the HTC One features that you may have liked will be gone. We also wonder if this may affect the HTC One's UltraPixel camera performance as it was the HTC One firmware that initially boosted it. Check out the HTC site for more information.
