The famous iFixit website, the site that breaks downs many, many things for the knowledge of the internet recently took apart the USD 799 (~RM3130) HTC Vive, and discovered that the 3D VR headset was designed to be repaired easily, by professionals if not by end users.

Unlike some other devices out there, the team found out that you only need standard screwdrivers to take it apart, without resorting to specialised tools. They do note that you should have the service manual by your side to help with the disassembly steps.

All we need to do now is wait and see if HTC Malaysia will be bringing in the Vive to the local market, and how much will it cost if it is sold here.
