HTC was once a solid contender in the smartphone industry but has fallen out of the race due to the fierce competition among the players. That said, HTC is not entirely dead yet as they still develop other kinds of technologies around the world.

Just recently, HTC has jumped on the bandwagon of the Metaverse. Calling it the Viverse (vee-verse? vai-verse?), the company is attempting to create a metaverse ecosystem of its own through various means. This includes exploring, working and playing in a safe environment. All in all, it seems that HTC is planning to sell its Viverse universe through its devices.

On the Viverse website, HTC would provide users with its WebXR-enabled consumer services for building their own virtual world. There's Viveport for VR games, Vive Bytes as an NFT marketplace, Vive Connect as a cross-platform service to the Metaverse and Beatday that functions as a holographic music platform.

HTC didn't stop there, but the company will also introduce Vive Arts which lets you see a collection of art pieces virtually. If you're into film production, VR Originals could interest you and VR Chat is going to be part of it as well. Finally, HTC wants to go into the business side with Vive Business and many other means to connect.
