It is another month filled with multiple flagship smartphone series launches, and HUAWEI is on the list. Before that happens, the CEO Richard Yu shared three highlights on what we can expect from the HUAWEI Mate 50 series, which are some exciting ones.

As some of you may know, the company has earlier introduced its in-house imaging system, XMAGE. It was rumoured to get featured on the Mate 50, and the CEO might have just confirmed that it's happening. We wonder if it has learned a thing or two to continue serving top-notch photography features since the company has worked with Leica previously.

Besides that, the upcoming smartphone series could also pack satellite connectivity for emergency text services, as Yu mentioned a technology that can "pierce the sky upward". Finally, there'll be the reveal of the new generation of its in-house OS, HarmonyOS 3. A highly-anticipated feature that provides the ability for the phone to maintain limited functionality even when the battery is drained. Rumours suggest it could achieve things like keeping the NFC working, mobile payments, mass transit pass, and even calls.
