HUAWEI today announced the launch of the HUAWEI FreeBuds 5i, its latest True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds with a slew of competitive features at its price bracket. These include multi-mode Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), long battery life and Hi-Res Audio Wireless (Hi-Res).
In terms of design, the FreeBuds 5i sports a pebble-stone case design with a textured surface through inkjet-coating techniques. It comes in several colours, including Isle Blue, Nebula Black and Ceramic White.
As for the buds themselves, they are lightweight at just 4.9 grams and are 29mm long; 7mm shorter than the predecessor. The FreeBuds 5i also has silicone ear tips for better noise isolation for the ANC feature.
Speaking of which, the earbuds feature dual-mic ANC and hybrid noise-cancellation technology for maximum noise ANC depth of up to 42dB ANC. The multi-mode ANC allows users to choose between Ultra, General and Cozy ANC modes to adapt to the noise wherever they are.
For calls, the FreeBuds 5i comes with AI Noise Cancellation which can distinguish and enhance voice using AI neural network algorithm to keep calls crystal clear. Besides that, the earbuds support Hi-Res certification, LDAC HD audio codec and multi-EQ effects.
In terms of battery life, HUAWEI claims that the FreeBuds 5i can last for up to 28 hours, with the fast-charging capability allowing for 4 hours of audio playback with just a 15-minute charge. Other notable features include Ip54 water resistance and dual device connection.
In Malaysia, the FreeBuds 5i is priced at RM399 and will be available nationwide starting 3 February 2023. It can be purchased via all HUAWEI Experience Stores, HUAWEI’s Official Website, HUAWEI Official Store on Shopee, HUAWEI Flagship Store on Lazada and authorised HUAWEI Partner Stores such as SenHeng, senQ, Harvey Norman and Urban Republic.
