Last week we reported a leaked post unveiled the HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro concept design poster on Weibo mentioning there might be 4 versions for the HUAWEI Mate 40 series without any specifications. Today, a CAD-based render has depicted the upcoming Huawei Mate 40. In fact, looking into what HUAWEI has done with the P40 family, this might be the look for the Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro+ as well.

According to the render, it has a gigantic circular rear camera bump that looks similar to the previous Mate 30 series but without the metallic brush finish ring around it. The housing sports 3 cameras and one empty slot which we assume might be a LIDAR sensor like the ones on the new iPad Pros. On the top left corner, it has an LED flashlight.

On the front, it is assumed to have a 6.4-inch curved display with a left-aligned hole-punch selfie camera that was rumored to have the same face unlock system like the P40 series. Looking into the renders, the Mate 40 series doesn’t seem to have a waterfall display, and also it has moved the signature top-notch selfie camera from the Mate 30 series away this time making the whole display looks similar to the P40 series.

Either way, there’s still no official confirmation on the tech specs that mentioned above so do take this with a pinch of salt. But what do you think of the new HUAWEI Mate 40 series design? Let us know at our Facebook page and stay tuned for more tech news updates on TechNave.com!
