HUAWEI has returned to the smartphone market with the new Mate 50 series. The smartphone series brings four variants, including the vanilla Mate 50, Mate 50 Pro, Mate 50 RS Porsche design, and Mate 50E. Now, let's find out the highlights of these devices and which one of them would capture your attention the most.

HUAWEI Mate 50

The standard variant comes with three camera sensors on the rear. HUAWEI Mate 50 Pro

After that, the Mate 50 Pro sports a 6.74-inch screen that supports a higher 120Hz refresh rate. Other display technologies are the same, but it gets an extra 3D face payment besides an under-screen fingerprint sensor. The battery is bigger at 4,700mAh, coupled with the same 66W wired charging as well.

HUAWEI Mate 50 RS Porsche design & Mate 50E

Besides these two devices, there's also the HUAWEI Mate50 RS Porsche design with a supercar-inspired look. It's the industry's first to feature a super macro telephoto camera, alongside a dual-lens group long-stroke sliding axis technology. HUAWEI has also brought along a more budget variant, and it's the Mate 50E with a Snapdragon 778G 4G chip.

Except for the Mate 50E, all the other three flagships get powered by the 4G variant of Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Their impressive camera setups also share the in-house developed image system, XMAGE. With the launch of these devices, HUAWEI has become the first company to introduce the Beidou satellite messages on smartphones, allowing users to text in environments without a network. As promised, they have also brought the emergency mode with HarmonyOS 3.0, which gets activated intelligently under 1% low power and enables the device to stand by for 3 hours plus a 12-hour talk time.

The devices will start selling in China at the price of 3,999 Yuan (~RM2,589) and goes all the way up to 12,999 Yuan (~RM8,415). It's unknown if all the variants will arrive in Malaysia, but we might probably get the news soon.
