HUAWEI has quietly released the HUAWEI Mate 60 series in China, with pre-orders already open via Vmall in the country since yesterday. Comprising of the Mate 60 and Mate 60 Pro, read on to find out more about the series.
First up, the Mate 60 Pro features a 6.82-inch 10-bit LTPO OLED with a resolution of 2720 x 1260 pixels and rather unique 3-punch-hole cutouts for the front camera system. Specifically, the cutouts are for a 13MP ultra-wide selfie camera as well as sensors and lasers for 3D face mapping for the device’s Face ID feature.
At the rear, there’s a circular camera module that houses a 50MP main + 12MP ultra-wide + 48MP telephoto triple-camera setup. HUAWEI didn’t disclose what SoC is powering the device, though it did reveal a 5000mAh battery with support for 88W wired, 50W wireless and 20W reverse wireless charging, 12GB RAM and up to 1TB storage.
The Mate 60 Pro is offered in a dual-tone back with four colour options, namely White, Green, Purple and Black. Currently, only one variant is listed on Vmall, which is the 12/512GB version for a price of CNY6999 or ~RM4456.
Moving to the Mate 60, it has a 6.69-inch 120Hz OLED panel with a resolution of 2688 x 1216 pixels and a punch-hole cutout at the top centre. This houses a 13MP selfie camera, while at the rear, there’s a 50MP main + 12MP ultra-wide + 12MP telephoto triple-camera setup.
Under the hood, the chipset is again undisclosed, but what is confirmed is a 4750mAh battery with support for 66W wired, 50W wireless and 7.5W reverse wireless charging. There’s also up to 12GB RAM and up to 1TB storage.
The Mate 60 is offered in colour options of Yadan Black, White Sand Silver, South Waxy Purple and Ya Chuan Qing. In China, the device is priced at CNY5499 or ~RM3501 for the 12/256GB variant and goes all the way to CNY6999 or ~RM4456 for the top ranging 12GB/1TB option.
