Under the hood, HUAWEI is coy about the processor powering the series, though it’s most likely to be the in-house Kirin 9100 SoC. Battery-wise, the Mate70 has a 5300mAh cell which supports 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, while the Mate70 Pro has a 5500mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging and 80W wireless charging.

Display-wise, both devices are equipped with an LTPO OLED with an FHD+ resolution with a 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, 2500 nits peak brightness and protected by second-generation Kunlun Glass. The Mate70’s screen is 6.7-inch while the Mate70 Pro’s is a tad bigger at 6.9-inch.
In terms of cameras, both devices feature the same 50MP main camera with a f/1.4-f/4.0 variable aperture, a 40MP ultra-wide and a 13MP ultra-wide selfie shooter. The Mate70 has a 12MP periscope camera (5.5x optical zoom), while the Mate70 Pro has a 48MP periscope (4x optical zoom).

Other notable specs include HarmonyOS 4.3, 3D depth face unlock for the Pro model, side-mounted fingerprint scanners, satellite communications and colour options of either Spruce Green, Hyacinth Purple, Snow White or Obsidian Black.
