HUAWEI Malaysia today announced the release of its next-generation flagship tablet, the HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.6-inch (2022). Compared to its predecessor, the new generation MatePad Pro 12.6-inch has received a face-lift in terms of external design, screen quality, audio-visual, software and hardware.
The most notable upgrade has got to be the display, which now sports a 12.6-inch 120Hz OLED panel. It has a 90 per cent screen-to-body-ratio, a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels, 1440 Hz PWM Dimming Control, 1.07 billion colours, P3 wide colour gamut, TÜV Rheinland Full Care Display 3.0 Certification and 600 nits max brightness.
Besides that, the MatePad Pro 12.6-inch is equipped with the HUAWEI SOUND audio system as well as 8 speakers for a cinematic audio-visual experience. Under the hood, the tablet is powered by a Kirin 9000E SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The battery is a 10,050mAh cell which supports 40W wired charging, 27W wireless charging and 10W reverse-wireless charging capabilities. In terms of cameras, the tablet sports a 13MP main + 8MP ultra-wide +3D depth-sensing triple-camera at its rear and an 8MP shooter at its front.
As for software, the tablet runs on HarmonyOS 3, which has received several upgrades including a customisable home screen layout and widgets. The Huawei-developed professional Notes app supports a variety of paper and brushes and integrates multiple typographic tools to let users edit and sort notes freely and professionally. The Take Snippet feature allows excerpting text from pictures even when the user is browsing through them.
The MatePad Pro 12.6-inch is available nationwide starting this 15 December at the price of RM4299 and will come bundled with the HUAWEI Smart Magnetic Keyboard, HUAWEI M-Pencil (2nd Generation) and exclusive HMS rewards worth RM1300 for free. The device can be purchased on the HUAWEI Official Website, HUAWEI Official Store on Shopee and HUAWEI Flagship Store on Lazada.
