The HUAWEI Nova 16 and Nova 16 Pro were finally launched this year, with a focus on camera sensors and large battery capacity. That said, what should you know about it?

 

A solid phone nonetheless

For your information, the HUAWEI Nova 16 Pro features a 6.84-inch OLED LTPO 120Hz screen with durable Kunlun glass protection. It is paired with a Kirin 9010S chip, 12GB of RAM, up to 1TB of storage, and a 7000 mAh battery with 100W charging support.

Additionally, the main camera consists of a 200MP RYYB 1/1.28- inchwide-angle lens, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP RYYB telephoto. Meanwhile, the front camera is 50MP. The fingerprint scanner is located on the side, while the waterproof capability is IP65.

Moreover, the Nova 16 Pro comes with a 6.68-inch OLED 120Hz screen paired with the Kirin 9010S chip, 12GB of RAM, up to 512GB of storage and a 7000 mAh battery with 100W charging support. The main camera consists of a 50MP wide-angle lens and a 50MP RYYB telephoto lens. Meanwhile, the front camera is also 50MP. The fingerprint scanner is located on the side, while the waterproof capability is IP65.

 

Both phones use the same chipset as the Nova 15 Pro

Furthermore, both devices support emergency messaging systems using BeiDou satellites, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC and 5G networks. It should be emphasised that the chip used by the Huawei Nova 16 and Huawei Nova 16 Pro is the same as the chip used by the Huawei Nova 15 Pro.

In China, the Huawei Nova 16 retail price starts at RMB3000 (~RM1758) while the Huawei Nova 16 Pro retail price starts at RMB3900 (~RM2286). Unfortunately, there are no details on the Malaysian release date yet.
