The HUAWEI Nova series is loved by many as it offers high-end specs but still comes with affordable price tags. In April, the Nova 7 series arrived with three devices namely Nova 7 SE, Nova 7, and Nova 7 Pro. Right after few months, the Nova 8 series has already come into the picture with a few rumours. It is claimed that the upcoming Nova series will ditch Kirin chipsets and rely on MediaTek's Dimensity chipsets.
According to a tipster from Weibo, the Nova 8 SE, Nova 8, and Nova 8 Pro will be featuring Dimensity 800, Dimensity 800U, and Dimensity 1000+ respectively. Not only their chipsets have been revealed, but the tipster has also given us a look at the price tags as well. It looks like the Nova 8 SE will be priced at 2,799 Yuan (~RM1,697), while the Nova 8 and 8 Pro will be priced at 3,299 Yuan (~RM2,001) and 3,999 Yuan (~RM2,425) respectively.

To recap, the Nova 7 series came with Kirin 810, Kirin 820, and Kirin 985 on board. This new move of switching to MediaTek's chipsets might be the aftermath of the trade ban that took place for a long while. True or not, we choose to believe that the upcoming Nova series will still continue to bring great value smartphones to consumers.
