As we’ve mentioned previously, HUAWEI released its latest foldable smartphone, the flip-style HUAWEI Pocket 2 in China today. The first flip smartphone with a quad-camera setup, read on to find out more about the device. 

Under the hood, the Pocket 2 is powered by the Kirin 9000S SoC paired with 12GB RAM and either 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of storage. It’s also equipped with a 4520mAh battery with support for 66W charging via the USB-C port.

Screen-wise, there’s a circular display at the cover which matches the camera module and is a 1.15-inch OLED with a resolution of 340 x 340 pixels. The star of the show is foldable screen, which is a 6.94-inch LTPO OLED with a Full HD+ resolution. 

The camera system is a 50MP main + 12MP ultra-wide + 8MP telephoto + 2MP UV quad-camera setup. The UV sensor is a hyperspectral camera that can detect UV intensity that can suggest you to apply sunscreen protection on your face.

Other notable specs include 40W wireless charging, HarmonyOS 4 and colour options of either Tahitian Grey, Rococo White, Purple or Black. In China, the Pocket 2 starts from CNY7499 or ~RM4978 for the 12/256GB variant, with the top specced 12GB/1TB option priced at CNY8499 or ~RM5642.
