HUAWEI Watch D/GT 2022 release: blood pressure and ECG monitoring, starts from ~RM1,973

At the new winter product launch conference, not only HUAWEI has unveiled its new folding smartphone, but it has also officially launched the HUAWEI Watch D with ECG and blood pressure monitoring. Now, let's read on to find out the tech specs and features brought by the latest wearable gadgets.

The HUAWEI Watch D is built using aviation aluminium and equipped with a square high-definition display. It also supports IP68 dust and water resistance. Besides that, there's the built-in polymer watchband made of tensile material, a human-engineered arc-shaped airbag, and a butterfly buckle to make the pressurization process more stable and improve the accuracy of blood pressure measurement.

The selling points of the HUAWEI Watch D are its support for blood pressure and ECG measurements. It is superimposed on micro air pumps, airbags and more to integrate blood pressure measurement technology into the watch. With high-precision pressure sensors, pressure feedback control circuits and low flow resistance gas paths, the device can achieve a pressure measurement system with an error within ±3mmHg.

In addition, HUAWEI Watch D also has 70+ sports modes, with a battery life that stays up to 7 days in the smart mode. The HUAWEI Watch D has two colour combinations, including classic black and elegant titanium, with a price of 2,988 yuan (~ RM1,973).

HUAWEI has also announced the HUAWEI Watch GT 2022 Collector's Edition at the event. It gets priced at 3,688 yuan (~RM2,436) in two colours, bright black and red. The watch adopts an exclusive design and has a customized dial for the year of the tiger. Its other features include TruSeen 5.0+ heart rate measuring, 14-day battery life, wireless fast charging, and 100+ sports modes.
