HUAWEI has officially launched the HUAWEI Watch GT 6 series in Malaysia with two variants. The Watch GT 6 and Pro variant. So, what should you know about it?
HUAWEI Watch GT 6
For your information, the Watch GT 6 comes in two sizes, 46 mm and 41 mm, with an AMOLED screen with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels.
On the other hand, the 46 mm version uses a 1.47-inch screen while the 41mm version is 1.32 inches. The watch is built with a stainless steel frame with a choice of Fluoroelastomer, composite leather and Milanese straps for comfort.
Moreover, the Watch GT 6 is equipped with a variety of sensors such as accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, optical heart rate, barometer, temperature and ambient light. The 46 mm model offers a battery life of up to 21 days, while the 41 mm model can last 14 days depending on usage.
Additionally, the TruSense sensor is enhanced for cycling and trail running activities with up to 98% heart rate accuracy. It is also 5 ATM waterproof, which is suitable for swimming activities. Interestingly, it supports NFC, Bluetooth 6.0 and multi-band GNSS and is equipped with a speaker and microphone for Bluetooth calls.
HUAWEI Watch GT 6 Pro
The HUAWEI Watch GT 6 Pro comes in Black, Brown and Titanium colour options and features a durable titanium alloy frame. It features a 1.47-inch AMOLED screen (466 x 466 pixels) with 3000 nits brightness.
Furthermore, advanced silicon-based battery technology has increased energy density by 37% allowing for up to 21 days of use.
The watch also features ECG, skin temperature, heart rate, barometer and ambient light sensors, along with TruSense sensors for more accurate cycling and trail running. In addition, the location tracking system has been improved with metrics such as current, average and range gradient.
Safety in numbers
Notably, the group ride tracking function allows users to see the location and status of members in real time. It also supports connections to third-party sensors such as power meters and speed sensors, and comes with a built-in virtual power meter.
Other features include a special mode for wheelchair users, golf activity maps and diving support up to 40 meters according to EN13319 standards. This watch is also IP69 and 5 ATM waterproof, but not suitable for hot showers.
In terms of connectivity, the Watch GT 6 Pro supports NFC, multi-band GNSS, and is equipped with a speaker and microphone for Bluetooth calls.
