Today, Haier Malaysia unveiled its new lineup of refrigerators and freezers incorporated with the latest technologies. The new lineup comprises 12 models and variants to offer customers options that fit their usage needs.
Under the theme "More Creation, More Possibilities", leading the lineup is Haier’s flagship model, the new HRF-IM758FG(SG)U1 fridge with Fresher Shield technology to minimise heat transfer into the freezer during defrosting to prevent food thermal shock. Meanwhile, the Humidity Control System (HCS) helps maintain the freshness of fruits and vegetables by preventing drying out and wilting.
Moreover, it also has an ABT PRO (anti-bacterial) module which uses UV light and a photocatalyst filter to ionise air and decompose bacteria and odours. This 4-door model is the company’s largest to date with a capacity of 758L and is equipped with sensors that monitor its operations and allow users to control settings and check contents remotely via smartphone via HaiSmart. Running on a twin inverter technology, the HRF-IM758FG(SG)U1 will start retailing in August for RM7,899.
There are also the Multi door 585 (HRFIM585) in four variants and Multi door 480 (HRF-IM480) in two variants for mid-sized homes. Coming in 529L and 480L capacity, respectively, these fridges have a Magic Zone compartment that utilises an advanced ventilation system to control the flow of cold air with three temperature options 0°C, 2°C, and 4°C, so that food remains safe and fresh. As an added feature, the Multi door 585 model has a 95º Anti-tipping Bottle Holder to hold bottles in place.
Twin inverter technology is integrated into these fridges with a 20-year warranty. The Multi door 585 model comes in the option of glass or metal chassis and four colours of gemstone blue, glass white, glass black and metal black, priced from RM3,899 to RM4,399. Meanwhile, the Multi door 480 model is available in piano black glass chassis and gemstone blue metal chassis, retailing at RM3,399 and RM3,499 respectively starting in August.
Besides the new fridges, Haier also announced two models of wine cellars - the HWS-84G and HWS-49G, to store wines at the ideal temperature. Validated by VD and protected by a triple-layered glass door, the cellars block out harmful UV rays while maintaining good insulation from outside fluctuating temperatures. Both models are capable of 5º - 20ºC temperature control and a humidity range of 50 - 70%. The 84-bottle capacity HWS-84G retails for RM5,499 and the smaller 49-bottle capacity HWS-49G retails for RM3,999.
Finally, Haier also took the opportunity to introduce the HUR-181NE, HUR-261NE, and HUR-331NE Upright Freezers. With Pro Frost-Free Cooling technology, these vertical freezers are capable of -24ºC freezing and up to 8ºC for normal refrigeration. High-efficiency compressors also allow the freezers to run quietly at 37dB while being power efficient. These new freezers retail at RM2,199 for HUR-181NE, RM3,099 for HUR-261NE and RM3,699 for HUR-331NE.
