Halogen Capital, the first licensed digital asset fund manager in Malaysia, has partnered with Affin Bank Berhad to distribute the Halogen Shariah Defensive Bitcoin Fund. This innovative fund is designed specifically for high-net-worth and institutional investors looking to invest in Bitcoin with a capital protection strategy.

For your information, this fund combines low-risk Islamic deposits and high-potential Bitcoin through a 'buy-and-hold strategy, ensuring investment stability even in volatile markets. According to Halogen Capital CEO, Hann Liew, this fund allows investors to take advantage of Bitcoin's growth without the risk of losing significant capital and remaining Shariah compliant. Affin Bank, on the other hand, sees this collaboration as a step towards introducing a regulated investment alternative that connects traditional financial principles with the digital asset market.

This fund is closed-end and only offered to sophisticated investors, with an investment horizon ranging from short to medium-term (two years). Minimum investment starts from RM10,000 with an initial sales charge of up to 2% and an annual management fee of 1%. We have yet to confirm other details from the news. So, we should wait for more details from Affin Bank.
