A few more important notes

As a reminder, the e-BE is for regular workers employed with a fixed salary. For business owners, you have to file the e-B forms, which have different information required. Additionally, those of you who are renting out property or have other sources of income (like freelance work) have to file your taxes accordingly.

And that's how you can file your taxes on MyTax. Of course, there are many details to take note of. If you have moved, changed phone numbers or switched to a new bank account, then the existing info could be outdated. In that case, make sure to update the info in the forms provided.

Additionally, not all information will be filled in automatically. Our government provides incentive claims for select individuals, like national athletes and accredited angel investors. For clarification, you can check these online documents: Incentive claim codes | Incentive for Angel Investor.

For the tax relief section, there are plenty of categories available for tax deduction. You can get tax deductions for medical expenses, dental expenses, disability care, insurance premiums, and education. Some categories have an 'Info' tag to give you more details. For instance, the "Lifestyle" categories confirm that we can get tax reductions for buying personal computers or subscribing to an Internet service provider. Another worth noting is the tax deduction for electric vehicles (EV). Specifically, this is if you purchased or rented an EV, or have installed an EV charger in your home.

So, that's the long and short of it. Hopefully, this article will help you with filing your taxes online. And if you already know this, it would at least serve as a reminder that the deadline - 15 May 2025 - is just around the corner. Have you finished filing your taxes?
