For a few weeks, we have seen more reports about what the iPhone 17 series could look like. This also includes the much-anticipated iPhone 17 Air. In this video by iDeviceHelp, it shows a mock-up design based on internal documents.
In a collaboration with leakster Majin Bu, the video said that we can expect four iPhone models as usual, except that the Plus variant will be replaced by the iPhone 17 Air. In case you miss it, the iPhone 17 Air is going to be the thinnest iPhone, measuring just 5.5mm in thickness with a 6.6-inch display. Besides that, the iPhone 17, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max name schemes remain the same.
In addition to that, only the iPhone 17 Air, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max are getting a drastic redesign, while the vanilla iPhone 17 stays the same as seen in the cover image above. The iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max's designs have consistently looked the same, with a triple rear camera on the left in a new big boxy camera module, while the LED flashlight is on the right.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Air could also just have a single rear camera and be placed inside a rectangular camera module with an empty space. The new design choices are certainly head-scratching, but no doubt that there are some Google Pixel influences for the lineup. However, we are still very early before the Apple annual event in September, so you can take this news with a pinch of salt.
