Google I/O is back once again this year and Google did a bunch of announcements on just day one. Of course, the most important highlight of them all is about Android 12 and it seems that the beta is still ongoing. Without further ado, here's everything you need to know about Android 12 beta preview.

From the livestream, Google said that the Android 12 beta has been released and is built on the theme of personalisation and making your devices work better together. Just as the previous Android 12 sneak peek video showcased, it has the biggest design change from all of its predecessors in terms of colours, shapes and motion. This means that Android 12 users will be able to personalise any custom colour choices and redesigned widgets to their preference.

In terms of motion, the animations definitely look more fluid than before. It is said that Android devices can be faster and more responsive with better power efficiency, but it may have to depend on the CPU. In Google's case, they have made some improvements by reducing the CPU time for core system services and big cores by the system server by up to 22% and 15% respectively.

The notification section got a drastic change as well. When pulled down, you can see your notifications, quick settings and even the power button. Google has included Google Pay and Home Controls, though I doubt that we would be seeing Google Pay anytime soon in Malaysia. Nevertheless, you can still customise it to your liking. Android 12 also has a new Privacy dashboard so that you can monitor and make informed choices on how much private information your apps can access.

There are so much more to discover about Android 12 but that's the gist of it. If you would like to know more, you can visit the official Android 12 beta page right over here to check it out.
