If you just updated your WhatsApp, you will see that there is a new Events function in the description. As the description says, simply tap the "+" button in any group chat and then choose "Event".
Now instead of asking people to RSVP in groups, members can check out an Event that was created for a birthday party, meetings or any event so to speak. Through the function, they can find more details and respond if they are going.
According to WhatsApp, anybody can create an event in the group and will get an automatic notification when the due date is getting closer. It is also noted that Events will arrive to groups that belong to a Community first. After that, it will roll out to all groups in the coming months. However, we already have the function in any group chat.
