Here's the summary of the new Bantuan Prihatin Nasional 2.0 and Program Subsidi Upah 2.0

Today, Prime Minister Muhyiddin just announced the launch of a new Bantuan Prihatin Nasional 2.0. The schemes are aimed primarily at families and individuals that are still affected by the outbreak, alongside a new Program Subsidi Upah 2.0 for the enterprises. Here's the summary of what you need to know. 

Starting with the BPN 2.0, 3.7 million families in the B40 group will receive RM1000, whereas 3.8 million B40 individuals will receive RM500. Furthermore, RM600 and RM300 will be allocated to 1.4 million families in the M40 group and 1.7 million M40 individuals respectively. There will be two waves of BPN 2.0, the first will roll out at the end of October 2020 and the second in January 2021. No action is needed to apply for BPN 2.0.

As for the Program Subsidi Upah 2.0, wage subsidies will be given to employers who are still affected especially those who faced a revenue reduction of at least 30% compared to last year during the MCO. This program is up to 3 months starting from 1 October to 31 December at the rate of RM600 per month, and it is limited to businesses with no more than 200 employees. If your business falls under this requirement, you may submit your application during the period.
