Hisense's new 55-inch and 65-inch Galaxy OLED TVs are certified with IMAX Enhanced

Hisense has announced two new Galaxy OLED TVs today in China with a 55-inch model priced at 6,999 Yuan (~RM4,324) while another 65-inch model priced at 9,999 Yuan (~RM6,178). They are not just ordinary OLED TVs as they're the first Chinese-branded televisions to come with IMAX Enhanced certification.

The 55-inch and 65-inch TVs bear the model numbers 55J70 and 65J70 respectively. They both sport a 4K OLED panel with support for 1.07 billion colors, 137% wide color gamut, 13,50,000:1 contrast ratio, ΔE1.2 JNCD, and 178° viewing angle. Although the screens are limited to 60Hz, the TVs come with MEMC to cope with some fast-paced content. They also feature IMAX Enhanced, Dolby Vision, and multiple other certifications for low blue-light emission.

For the outer look, the TVs feature metal bodies as well as metal stands. The 55-inch is only 3.8mm thick while the 65-inch is measured 4.9mm. Other than that, the bottom bezels of both TVs are slightly thicker as they house an unknown quad-core chipset with 4 x ARM Cortex-A73 cores paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage along with speakers, microphones, I/O interfaces. For audio, the TVs come with far-field microphones for voice control and support DTS Listen, DTS Virtual X, and Dolby Audio. They will be running Android Pie out of the big box.
