A statement confirmed the incident, with the office of the Home Minister saying that the serious incident has been reported to the relevant authorities for further action.
The statement further advised the public to remain cautious and not respond to any calls or messages claiming to be the minister. More so, if it involves financial matters or meeting requests.
Moreover, the office of the Home Minister strongly condemned the irresponsible act and urged the public not to fall victim to such scams. The public is also urged to stay alert to fraud attempts via social media platforms and to report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
