Honda e:N1 makes Malaysian debut: 204 PS EV with 412 km range, priced at RM149,900

After much anticipation, Honda has officially launched its all-electric vehicle (EV): the Honda e:N1 in Malaysia. This marks the brand's first entry into the local EV market, priced at RM149,900 without on-the-road insurance. Morever, it is backed by an eight-year or 160,000 km warranty and will be offered in limited quantities on a first-come, first-served basis.

The e:N1 is powered by a 68.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, delivering 204 PS and 310 Nm of torque. It offers a WLTP-rated range of up to 412 km on a single charge. The source reported that this EV is based on the HR-V platform and features a front-mounted electric motor. Charging capabilities include up to 11 kW AC and 78 kW DC, allowing for a 10–80% charge in approximately 45 minutes.

Inside, the e:N1 boasts a 15.1-inch vertical touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and Honda Sensing advanced driver assistance features. Available in six colours, including Aqua Topaz and Crystal Black Pearl, Honda aims to provide Malaysian consumers with a stylish, practical, and competitively priced electric vehicle option.

According to Honda, the e:N1 will be offered exclusively through eight selected dealerships across Peninsular Malaysia. These include Accord Auto, HZN Cars, and Tiong Nam Motor in Selangor; Peringgit Sri Motor in Kuala Lumpur; Ban Hoe Seng Auto in Perak; Vivahill Auto in Penang; Ban Lee Heng Motor in Negeri Sembilan; and Kah Motor Co in Tebrau, Johor.
