Honor 90 series release: up to 200MP cameras, SD 8+ Gen 1, 6.78-inch AMOLED 120Hz display, 12GB RAM and more from ~RM1626

Honor recently released their Honor 90 series midrangers consisting of the Honor 90 and Honor 90 Pro smartphones. Released on pre-order in China, the phones are set for global release with GMS later but for now they will offer pricing from 2499 CNY (~RM1626) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage Honor 90.

 

Honor 90

Talking about the Honor 90, the base version comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset that has been overclocked slightly with a 2.5Ghz Cortex-A710 core. It uses a 6.7-inch OLED display with 2664 x 1200 pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1600 nits. There’s a 50MP front camera in a punch hole while 2 medium sized camera humps contain 200MP + 12MP ultra wide + 2MP depth sensor cameras.

Other tech specs include a 5000 mAh battery with 66W fast charging but can also handle 40W Power Delivery if you don’t have the Honor fast charger. The Honor 90 will be available in black, green, ice feather blue and silver. 

 

Honor 90 Pro

The Pro version ups the ante with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 2700 x 1224 pixel resolution, over 1000 nits brightness, HDR support and 120Hz refresh rate. Like the Honor 90, the Pro variant also comes with 12GB / 16GB RAM and 256GB / 512GB storage.

However, it offers a dual 50MP + 2MP front camera in a pill cut-out on the top of the display. Rear cameras are similar to the Honor 90 with 2 medium sized camera humps consisting of a 200MP + 12MP ultra wide angle + 32MP portrait camera with 2.5x optical zoom and OIS. It offers 5000 mAh battery with up to 90W fast charging, dual stereo speakers and is available in the same black, green, ice feather blue and silver colours.
