Last month, Honor unveiled its latest Magic 4 series smartphones at MWC 2022. At the time, the company showed off the Honor Magic 4 and Honor Magic 4 Pro. But Honor later announced that a third model - the Honor Magic 4 Ultimate - would launch on 17 March 2022. Here's a look at what it offers.

The Honor Magic 4 Ultimate was revealed at the Honor Magic 4 series launch in China. It comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, 12GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. Moreover, it has a large 6.81-inch screen that uses the LTPO 2.0 display panel, giving it a variable refresh rate of 1 to 120Hz. It also has a resolution of 1312x2848 resolution, high-frequency PWM dimming at 1920 Hz, 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, and a max brightness of 1000nits.

But the rear camera module is what makes it better than the Honor Magic 4 Pro. The Honor Magic 4 Ultimate's 50MP main camera uses a 1/1.2-inch sensor, which can output larger 1.4µm pixels for higher quality images. The 64MP ultra-wide camera has also been upgraded to a larger 1/2-inch sensor that can capture a wider angle at 126°. A custom image processor was also added to support these upgraded cameras, offering 15% more dynamic range, 4K 60FPS recording, and more.

So what do you think about this phone? The phone is retailing in China for 7999 yuan (~RM5273). As for Malaysia, we can't confirm if it will launch here on 29 March 2022 yet. If you want to know, make sure to stay tuned to TechNave for the launch report!
