Honor recently revealed a few teasers about their upcoming Honor Magic 8 Pro smartphone. This includes a release date of 15 October 2025 (probably in China first) along with some new camera tech for their 200MP telephoto camera.
What are these camera tech specs exactly?
Apart from the 200MP camera sensor, it will also be a 1/1.4” type sensor to let in more light. Utilizing the AIMAGE Honor Nox Engine it will offer a large f/2.6 aperture and CIPA 5.5 stop image stabilization.

This means that the shutter speed can be 5.5x slower without stabilization or any adverse effects. This should make it even better for long exposure photography like light trails, silky water or light painting.
How it will be better specifically could mean more details over shorter exposure times, allowing you to take such long exposure shots handheld or without needing a tripod in less time than before. This hasn’t been confirmed of course, so do take it with a grain of salt.
Other tech specs?
For other tech specs and features, the Honor Magic 8 Pro is expected to come with MagicOS 10 which is based on Android 16. The other rear cameras are expected to include a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultrawide camera.
It is also expected to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. Aside from these it will also have a 7000 mAh battery with 120W wired charging and wireless charging.
No Malaysia release dates or pricing details just yet though but Honor’s previous Honor Magic 7 Pro was also a very good cameraphone, so we’re expecting more of the same for the Honor Magic 8 Pro. What do you think? Share your thoughts in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave.com
