Honor Magic V Flip 2 may feature an edge-to-edge cover screen

For many people, most smartphones feel the same these days. The same shape, the same size, and sometimes even similar designs. Thankfully, foldable devices tend to showcase some new changes. In fact, the upcoming Honor Magic V Flip 2 could have notable upgrades.

Larger cover screen?

According to Digital Chat Station (via GSMArena), the Honor Magic V Flip 2's cover display will feature an edge-to-edge cover display. Mind you, last year's Honor Magic V Flip already has a massive screen covering the top half of the back (estimated at 85%). Despite that, Honor might be reworking the rear camera to better fit the cover display.

In the words of the Chinese tipster, the cover screen's 'transition' will be smooth and "a bit like a micro-arc crater design". This suggests that the Honor Magic V Flip 2 will have a large main camera like its predecessor, but won't look as out of place or jarring when you use the screen. It was also previously reported that the new model's rear cameras will be redesigned.

Expected more changes

We won't know how the screen will look and feel till it launches. However, a change to the cover display is something to look forward to. After all, the Magic V Flip's cover display doesn't feel as immersive as it should be because of the large main camera, so an upgrade would be appreciated.

But what's your take on that? Do you think the Honor Magic V Flip 2 needs a redesigned cover display? Share your thoughts in the comments below, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
