As mentioned last week, Honor planned to release the Honor Magic V3 in Malaysia. The company unveiled the new foldable smartphone and two other devices at IFA, with a simultaneous launch in Malaysia. Let's see what the Honor Magic V3 has to offer.

According to Honor, the Honor Magic V3 is the world's slimmest and lightest inward folding smartphone. It weighs about 226g while measuring a mere 9.2mm when folded. That measurement becomes an even slimmer 4.35mm when it's unfolded, making it so thin we worry it could break if we were less careful with it. You can check out some hands-on photos we took below.

The Honor Magic V3 sports a sizable 7.92-inch main OLED display with 1600nits of brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the 6.43-inch cover display's brightness goes all the way up to 5000nits, ensuring that you can see the screen no matter how glaring the sun is. Besides the display, this phone has a flagship-level Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, 12GB of RAM, and 512GB of internal storage.

In terms of cameras, the Honor Magic V3 has three at the back - a 50MP wide-angle main camera, a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom, plus a 40MP ultra-wide camera. There's also a 20MP selfie camera on the front and another 20MP selfie camera where the cover display is.

But wait, there's more. The Honor Magic V3 has a pretty large 5150mAh battery, 66W Wired HONOR SuperCharge, IPX8 water resistance, a durable Aerospace Special Fiber body, and more. If you want an ultra-slim foldable smartphone, this could be the phone for you. From now till till 12 September 2024, you can pre-order the device and receive an HONOR Magic-Pencil, HONOR Magic Watch 4, HONOR SuperCharge Wireless Charger Stand (Max 100W), and 365 days of screen protection as a bonus.

Honor Malaysia also announced that the phone will retail for RM6999 in Malaysia, so it's on the more affordable side for a flagship foldable phone like this. Would you be interested in getting it? Let us know in the comments and stay tuned to TechNave for other news like this.
