Are you hoping to get a compact ultrabook for work and maybe some gaming? Then consider getting one with an AMD Ryzen APU, as AMD variants deliver decent graphics performance while maintaining a compact form. It's a good choice if you want to game on the side, and the Honor MagicBook 14 now has some of the latest options.

According to Gizmochina, Honor launched two AMD variants of its latest MagicBook 14 laptops in China. The first one has a Ryzen 5 6600H CPU and Radeon 660M GPU, while the other packs a Ryzen 7 6800H CPU and Radeon 680M GPU. Both models come with 16GB of DDR4 RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. They also have a 14-inch IPS panel with 2160x1440 screen resolution, 300-nit brightness, and a 1500:1 typical contrast ratio.

For your info, the Intel variants launched in May 2022 deliver more or less the same in specs. One variant has the Intel Core i5-12500H CPU, while the other has the Intel Core i7-12650H CPU. There's also the option to pick either the Nvidia GTX 2050 mobile GPU or Nvidia MX550 GPU. The first variant's GPU is better than the one for the AMD variants, but the latter isn't all that impressive.

In this case, the top Intel variant has better specs. But it's also more expensive at 6499 yuan (~RM4279), compared to the AMD Ryzen 7 variant at 5699 yuan (~RM3752). As for the Ryzen 5 variant, it's priced at 5199 yuan (~RM3423). If you're not looking to play AAA games, the Ryzen 5 is the most affordable option out of all Honor MagicBook 14 (2022) variants.
