Expect the hardware to be better than the Honor X20 SE
Back in March, it was rumoured that Honor has been working on a new smartphone series - the Honor X20. The phone was allegedly going to pack the more powerful Dimensity 1200 chipset. However, that may no longer be the case.
According to a Chinese blogger (via Gizmochina), the Honor X20 will be equipped with the Dimensity 900 chipset instead of the Dimensity 1200. For your information, the Dimensity 900 is a 5G chipset that features 2x Cortex-A78 CPU cores (2.4GHz), 6x Cortex-A55 CPU cores (2GHz), and a Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. If this is true, this should be a pretty decent mid-range smartphone.
Besides the chipset, we can make some assumptions on the other specs based on the Honor X20 SE. Assuming that model is a 'lite' version of the Honor X20 series, we can expect the Honor X20 to have at least 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 4000mAh battery. The Honor X20 also had a triple-camera setup (64MP+2MP+2MP) at the back, a 16MP front camera, and 6.6-inch IPS display. We can expect a few of these specs to be upgraded on the standard Honor X20.
The Honor X series devices normally don't launch in Malaysia, so we're not sure if this would be available here. But if it does, would this be a phone you'd be interested in? Let us know in the comments below, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
