Honor X40 GT Racing Edition coming 21 Sep 2023

As you know, not all smartphones launch in Malaysia. Even big brands we're familiar with won't release all their smartphone models here. The Honor X40 GT from last year was one such phone, but could its Racing Edition variant launch here?

According to a post on Weibo, Honor is set to launch the Honor X40 GT Racing Edition in China on 21 September 2023. That's when the company will also officially launch the Honor Magic V2 and Honor V Purse, the company's upcoming foldable smartphones.

There aren't many details about the phone so far. However, sources are claiming this variant would have the option for 512GB of storage. Since the original version is now close to 1-year-old, there might be other improvements like the chipset and cameras. But if there aren't any, it should feature a Snapdragon 888 chipset, a 6.81-inch 144Hz display, and a 50MP primary camera.

If you ask me, this could be a sub-flagship smartphone worth considering, provided the price is right. Mind you, Honor might not launch the phone here. But if they do, would you be interested? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
