Honor X6d release - Dimensity 6300 chipset, 50MP main camera, and 5260mAh battery for ~RM542

The Honor X series devices first debuted in 2022, offering Honor fans several entry-level devices with good value. Honor Malaysia unveiled the Honor X9d and Honor X7d last year, with no signs of a 'd' generation for the X8 and X6 series. However, sources suggest the Honor X6d could launch soon.

UAE first

As spotted by GSMArena, the Honor X6d has quietly appeared on the retail website of a United Arab Emirates store. The phone looks similar to the Honor Play 60A, but has an upgraded main camera (50MP vs 13MP) and a slightly smaller battery (5260mAh vs 5300mAh). Based on the UAE store page, we also see that the Honor X6d has double the Honor Play 60A's storage (256GB vs 128GB).

However, the other specs are mostly identical. This includes the 4GB RAM, 5MP front camera, and 6.75-inch LCD screen (720p with a 90Hz refresh rate). It also runs on the now slightly dated Android 15, with Honor's MagicOS as the UI. As you can see, the biggest upgrade is the camera and storage. Otherwise, it's essentially not too different from last year's Honor Play 60A.

Local launch unknown

The Honor X6d's listed price is AED 509 or approximately RM542, so it's a budget-friendly entry-level device. There is no launch date for Malaysia at the moment, but it could launch here in June like its predecessor.
