Last week, Honor confirmed that it would be showcasing new smartphones at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022. The company revealed that it would introduce its new Honor Magic 4 5G series, but it looks like it won't be the only product on showcase.

According to WinFuture, Honor will also be unveiling the Honor X8, which is the global variant of the Honor X30i. This is a mid-range smartphone that was launched in November 2021 but is now making its way to global markets. As you can see, it sports the same simple design, square-shaped triple-camera module, and punch-hole front camera (16MP).

But while the Honor X30i was equipped with the Dimensity 810 5G chipset, the Honor X8 will only support 4G LTE. It's allegedly a 'previously unknown' ARM-based chipset that has 4x Cortex-A73 CPU cores (2.4GHz) and four Cortex-A53 CPU cores (1.9Hz). In return, Honor has upgraded the cameras for the front to 16MP and the rear main camera to 64MP. Besides that, the device comes with a 6.7-inch FHD+ (2388x1080) display, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage.

WinFuture claimed that the device would retail in Europe for 200 Euros (~RM942). It might be even cheaper than that in Malaysia, so this could be an excellent budget mid-range smartphone.
