The Honor 8 is coming soon to Malaysia with its metal frame and beautiful curved 2.5D glass front and back. Boasting a new sapphire blue colour, the premium metal frame, glass front and back and dual camera setup comes full circle from their earlier metal frame Honor 6 Plus which was launched here in Malaysia last year but adds more curves, beautiful patterns and features than before.

While you can check our comparison tool between the Honor 8 and Honor 6 Plus as always, a first glance at both shows that the Honor 8 features a more curved design with rounded metal frame, precision beveling and 2.5D glass. The frame also goes all the way, but the flat metal frame of the Honor 6 Plus while premium in its own right did not cover the bottom half.

The Honor 8 also improves upon from Huawei's previous flagships like the Huawei P7 which featured a 7-layered glass back that had a circular wave pattern underlaid. Sharing this same aesthetic, the Honor 8 practically shimmers in the light with 15 layers of finely crafted glass.

While this multi-layer glass back certainly brings more beauty and durability to the Honor stable it also utilizes the latest features from Huawei's other more current flagships, like the extra monochrome rear camera sensor from the Huawei P9 and the energy efficient yet powerful Kirin 950 processor from the Huawei Mate 8.
