Concept render from @RODENT950
These days, every smartphone company wants to make a foldable device. Some already have, while others are still working on one. Honor is probably in the latter category, with sources claiming that it will unveil one early next year.
According to a tech blogger, Honor could tentatively launch its foldable device in January 2022. The company's first foldable phone will allegedly use screen panels supplied by BOE Display and Visionox. Since the launch is next month and its suppliers are based in China, Honor might be able to showcase this foldable phone at CES 2022.
Moreover, the device will be called the Honor Magic Fold. It's rumoured that Honor registered this name and 'Honor Magic Wing' with Europe's certification body. Based on the naming convention, we're expecting two foldable devices - a Magic Fold that folds horizontally and the Magic Wing would have a clamshell design. Most brands are using these two form factors, so we won't be surprised if this rumour turned out to be accurate.
Of course, Honor hasn't said anything to confirm what it plans to do, so take the news with a grain of salt. But would you be interested in Honor's foldable devices? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
