Recently, Samsung has been rolling out its Samsung Galaxy AI to its Samsung Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Tab S9 series, and more. This adds the ability to intelligently edit photos, get instant translations for chats and calls, summarize text and more via Generative AI.

We've already covered quite a few of those topics, including how to edit photos with Photo Assist and how to translate chats on the fly. What hasn't been focused on much is the fact that thanks to Note Assist and Browsing Assist, you can easily do work like rewriting a Press Release online with Samsung Galaxy AI. Here's how.

How to rewrite a Press Release online with Browsing assist:

  1. Open the press release in the Samsung Internet Browser
  2. Click on the Browsing Assist icon next to the URL field
  3. Tap on 'Summarize' and 'Copy'

... and paste to your word processor (we used Samsung Notes), then delete the bullet points and edit the text a bit and you're done!

Extra features: Detailed Summary

By default, the Samsung Galaxy AI Browsing Assist feature summarizes text in a shortened and concise way. However, sometimes, it loses details in the process. To make these summaries more detailed, you can change this to Detailed Summary. Here's how:

How to make a Detailed Summary:

  1. Open the press release in the Samsung Internet Browser
  2. Click on the Browsing Assist icon next to the URL field
  3. Tap on 'Summarize' and then the Summary style icon in the top right corner
  4. Select 'Detailed' and then tap Done

You can also change the Summary style by clicking 'Detailed' after clicking on the Summary style icon

The result is a more detailed summary which you can then copy and paste

Overall, the Samsung Galaxy AI Browsing Assist offers a quick and easy way to rewrite text, which you can try out on your compatible Samsung Galaxy device. It can be used for anything that needs a summary or a more concise rewrite, so it's not just confined to press releases. We expect this feature to not be that different from other AI for productivity, like Gemini for Google's Workspaces and Microsoft Office with Co-Pilot.

Walking the talk, we've collated various business tech press releases and used Browsing Assist in the Samsung Internet browser and Note Assist in the Samsung Notes app to make our own customized TechNave Business Bytes newsletter. Previously, it would take almost 2 days to summarize all the press releases manually and then arrange them accordingly. But with Galaxy AI, we can now do it in under an hour.
