Not only did Huawei release the rumoured FreeBuds 5 but as well as the FreeBuds Pro 2+. We don't know yet if Huawei Malaysia plans to import them but here's what you should know about the new earbuds.
While the FreeBuds Pro 2+ design is similar to the FreeBuds Pro 2, Huawei claimed that the new wireless earbuds are the industry's first to have a dual heart rate and body temperature monitoring system. With Huawei's TruSeen heart rate algorithm, the company said that it has a high accuracy of 95% and 10bpm after SGS testing.

In terms of sound, the FreeBuds Pro 2+ features 11mm dynamic drivers which have a driving force improvement of 30% compared to the FreeBuds Pro 2. It also supports low frequency as 14H, HiRes, L2HC and LDAC, HD spatial audio, Active Noise Cancellation of up to 47dB and can connect to multiple devices.
On the other hand, the FreeBuds 5 has the most unique earbud designs to date. Huawei called it the Rupert Tears which looks like a hanging water droplet when put on your ears. According to Huawei, it adopts a semi-open Comfort Noise Reduction design and its ANC got upgraded to 3.0. Inside the droplet design, it contains the sound unit, battery and circuit board in three separate zones.

Like the FreeBuds Pro 2+, the FreeBuds 5 also has L2HC and LDAC support, as well as an 11mm driver but combined with Sound Pressure Turbo technology. This results in producing stronger sounds, amplitude, richer bass and clearer vocals. Huawei also said it can calculate the user's ear canal structure in real time.
