Huawei recently announced their Huawei Honor 3C smartphone for the midrange market. In addition to this they also launched their Vmall.my portal and online store, where they will offer Huawei devices for Malaysian users. So far, the only device on the Vmall.my portal is the Huawei Honor 3C and it's relevant accessories, but more Huawei devices should be updated on the site soon. The Honor 3C currently available with an online offer that includes a 6-month swap warranty. In tandem with the Malaysia launch, Huawei Malaysia did a "Guess the Price" contest for the Huawei Honor 3C, only unveiling the pricing at the launch for a super-low price of RM499. The tech specs and features above along with the very competitive price tag of RM499 has already seen the Honor 3C being sold-out on Vmall.my (perhaps helped along by some early pre-orders). The smartphone is available with other third-party sellers though, but many of them are only offering it on pre-order with no news on when new stock may arrive. For now, the combination of above-average tech specs and very competitive price makes the Huawei Honor 3C a very loud challenge to all the other entry-level to midrange smartphones in Malaysia and we look forward to what others may bring to the market.

Our first-hand impressions with the Huawei Honor 3C is that it has a rather plastic build and that  it also has many pastel colours to choose from. This includes Lamborghini Yellow, Titanium Gray, Rococo Pink, Tiffany Green, Pearl White and Champagne gold. At 140g it feels quite light, almost like a toy, despite the larger 5-inch screen. The tech specs and features should make it a very good selfie and starter phone which is the market that Huawei are targeting. We're looking forward to see what a full review could reveal about the smartphone's performance.
