After releasing the Huawei Honor 6, Huawei has gone on to announce the Huawei Honor 6 Extreme Edition. While it offers nearly the same looks and tech specs as the earlier released Honor 6, the Honor 6 Extreme Edition includes a 2GHz octa-core Kirin 928 processor. The original Honor 6 uses an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 920 processor. Most of the other tech specs such as 3GB of RAM, 5-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution, 4G LTE Cat6, 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera remain the same though. The other major difference is that it has 32GB of storage and perhaps some more "extreme" accessories like premium headphones, a 0.2mm tempered glass screen protector and a protective casing. No Malaysia release dates or pricing yet but it is set for pre-order on 21 October 2014 for $489 (RM1591).
