Huawei Maimang 9 release: Dimensity 800 with 64MP triple-camera setup, starts from ~RM1,335

Huawei's not only bringing the best camera technology to their flagship series but they're also assuring that some of their mid-range devices will have a top-notch camera system. Earlier today, the Huawei Maimang 9 that is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 800 chipset has been officially announced in China. Let's take a look at what are the interesting things that the device packs!

The Huawei Maimang 9 comes with a large 6.8-inch display that delivers Full HD+ resolution. There is also a punch-hole cutout on the top left corner of the screen to house a 16MP front-facing camera. Below the screen, there is a 4,300mAh battery that supports 22.5W fast charging. It is also worth mentioning that it supports dual-mode SA/NSA 5G networks.

Other than that, the Maimang 9 has a triple-camera system that is AI-powered. There will be a 64MP main camera with a 1/1.7 outsole, an 8MP 120° ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The triple cameras offer features like EIS, super night scene mode, and 4K video recording.

The Huawei Maimang 9 runs EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10 out of the box. It also has a micro SD slot and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. The device is priced at 2,199 Yuan (~RM1,335) for 6/128GB variant and 2,399 Yuan (~RM1,457) for 8/128GB variant in China. It will be available in three colours which are Qijing Forest (gradient green), Sakura Snow Clear Sky (gradient white), and Magic Night Black.
