Just past midnight last night, our notorious leakster, Roland Quandt from Twitter has released some image renders of the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. Said to be "official", it seems that the pro variant will come in black, blue and a new shade of twilight compare to the P20 Pro. Besides that, we also got a bunch of new tech-specs information so here it goes.
According to sources, they believe that the new Mate 20 Pro will be featuring an in-display fingerprint sensor on the 6.3-inch dual curved AMOLED display, as the rear doesn't show any signs of it below the triple camera setup. Moreover, the Face Unlock should also make a return but even stronger than ever (as per source) and the infrared sensors should be on the notch there. The side bezels also look incredibly thin, same goes to the bottom chin and like the P20 Pro, it's quite possible that the 3.5mm headphone jack won't make it.
Moving on to the specifications, the triple camera setup behind could also follow the footsteps of the P20 Pro of having a 40MP + 8MP + 20MP sensor, with a possibility of new Leica grade lens along with f/1.8, f/2.4 and 16~80mm focal lengths for the telephoto lens. To add on to that, rumours have it that the dedicated monochrome lens has been removed in favour of a wide-angle lens. Of course, the new Kirin 980 will be on board with at least 6GB of RAM, 128GB internal storage and said to carry a huge 4200mAh battery pack.
So what do you think of the Mate 20 Pro look? Yay or nay? Stay tuned for more Huawei news as the official event will unfold itself on 19 October 2018.
