Huawei Mate 20 hinting a powerful Kirin 980 chipset

Well, since we already have the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro. We won't be surprised that the next Mate series will be called Mate 20 (lol) and according to sources, it's said the Huawei flagship will come this Fall. While we got nothing on any leaked pre-rendered model images, we do have an AnTuTu score and it's packing some serious power.

By looking at the chart below, the score reads 356K and comparing with its predecessors, the power difference is almost half-mile (just exaggerating) and this really says a lot and new speculations about its chipset. In other words, the Mate 20 is very likely to feature a brand new Kirin 980 which is using Cortex-A75 core. Moreover, the Neural Processing Unit (NPU) is rumoured to be a second generation and smarter than the current one, along with a GPU that's also said to be powerful. Rumours have it that the chipset is 7nm only, this will even consume less power and improve battery efficiency further.

There's still a long way to go around about this, but we won't be surprised if the Mate 20 is similar to the P20 series, packing a triple camera setup and perhaps a Twilight colour. Until then, stay tuned for more Huawei news at TechNave.com.
