Huawei Mate V could have P50 series camera module and shallower crease

As a relatively new product, there's a lot that manufacturers can improve in foldable devices. Design can always be improved, but for the form factor, we mostly see three types these days. For Huawei, its next foldable device will fold vertically.

According to Ice Universe, there's a new leak that shows the protective case of the Huawei Mate V. Based on the images, the device will have two large cut-outs for the camera module. That reminds us of the Huawei P50, which has the same design for its triple-camera (50MP+12MP+13MP) setup. The case also has room for a 3.5mm audio jack at the top, a USB Type-C connector at the bottom, and the buttons on the right.

Besides the design, the tipster also suggested that the Huawei Mate V would have a shallower crease for the display. He claimed that it's better than the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3's display, but that remains to be seen. Currently, it's unknown if Huawei's upcoming foldable uses UTG. But Huawei might have improved the hinge to reduce the crease.

Of course, this piece of news might not be relevant to you since not everyone is bothered by the display crease. How about you, are the creases on foldable devices a deal-breaker for you? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
