Huawei has teased the design for its upcoming foldable, the Mate X7, ahead of its official unveiling. According to Huawei Central, the X7 will adopt a sleeker, more refined look compared to its predecessors, featuring a symmetrical quad-lens camera module with a large circular layout and a prominent LED flash.
Bold Colour Options for the Mate X7
The company has shared design renders via Weibo, showcasing a side-folding form factor with a straight external screen and minimal bezels. In addition, this foldable is expected to use second-generation Kunlun glass, built to be durable yet ultra-thin.

Leaked details reveal that the Mate X7 will come in five stylish colour variants: Obsidian Black, Phantom Purple, Cosmic Red, Cloud Blue, and Cloud White. These colours were confirmed by both Huawei and tipsters ahead of the 25 November launch.
Tech Specs Rumours
Beyond aesthetics, the Mate X7 is reportedly built for resilience. It will have IP-rated dust and water resistance (reported as IP58 / IP59) and has passed stress tests, including high-temperature water spray and fold endurance tests.
Insiders say the X7 will be powered by Huawei’s new Kirin 9030 chipset. It’s expected to ship in several configurations, possibly including 12GB, 16GB, and even 20GB of RAM, a spec unusual even for foldables.
Leakers also suggest the Mate X7 will house a 50MP main sensor with a physical variable aperture, paired with a 50MP periscope telephoto lens plus a multispectral sensor for richer colour and detail.
Launch Date
In case you missed it, Huawei already confirmed that the Mate X7 will be launched on 25 November 2025, alongside the Mate 80 Series flagship. We are less than a week away from the event, so wait for our official news coverage at TechNave.com.
